*The Kilgore Falls hiking trail is only accessible by parking at the Falling Branch Parking Area, and does not connect to the hiking trails in the picnic areas or the King and Queen Seat .​Hikers and pets on a leash are welcome on the park’s 3.5 miles of trails. Trails in the main part of the park connect various points of interest and the picnic areas. Most of the park’s trails are steep and rocky, so please plan ahead and wear appropriate footwear. 

  • Reservations will be required on weekends and holidays beginning Saturday, May 25th 2024 through Labor Day. Reservations can be made beginning on the Monday prior to the desired visit, starting on Monday, May 20th for the weekend of May 25th.​

Parking is only permitted in parking lots and authorized pull-offs.

Trails in the main part of the park are best suited for hiking. Click here for trail maps.

Rocks State Park does not offer equestrian riding trails. Horseback riders are encouraged to visit Susquehanna State Park or the Sweet Air Area​ of Gunpowder Falls State Park.
