Project Green Classrooms works under a work plan approved by the Leadership describing specific actions to achieve established priorities. The Initiative may consult outside organizations for advice and assistance. Professionals within appropriate fields and with the capacity to assist these priorities are encouraged to contact members to become involved.
In early 2018, the steering committee is building a new work plan for 2018 – 2019. The 2018 plan will identify specific actions under this [draft] set of strategies that will form the foundation for our work in the next one to two years. This plan will align with and contribute to the Environmental Literacy goal and outcomes of the 2014 Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement, which will have a new state action plan for 2018 – 2019 developed in May. Project Green Classrooms is called upon to advise and support state leadership in the implementation and tracking of relevant Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement goals and outcomes as they relate to environmental education.
Project Green Classrooms supports events hosted by our partners that address important topics or help develop resources and activities that serve to advance our established priorities.
