Agoforestry Spotlight: An Edible Forest Trail
Welcome to the MD Forest Service and Queen Anne’s County’s Edible Forest Trail! If you’re reading this, we want to thank you for visiting our trail of fruit and nut-producing trees and shrubs.
Not only is everything growing on this trail at Bloomfield Park there for your eventual pickin’ pleasure, but we have partnered with the Maryland Food Bank to harvest berries and nuts when they’re ready to then turn into meals for those less fortunate.
All of these trees and shrubs are good for the Earth and good for all of us! Enjoy your visit and keep your eyes posted to this site and our bulletin board at the trail entrance for harvest announcements, upcoming workshops and volunteer events, or new species to be added to the mix!
