Funding

Maryland’s Chesapeake & Coastal Service (CCS) administers a number of financial assistance programs that distribute federal and state resources to local partners.  CCS works with federal, state, and local partners to develop innovative approaches that leverage the funds it administers to the greatest extent possible, target the funds to the most cost effective locations and practices, engage the community at large, and hold everyone accountable. We constantly seek ways to improve and increase the resources available at the local level to responsibly manage Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay watershed, ocean and coastal resources, whether it be through helping communities prepare for climate change, restoring local waterways, protecting habitats  or encouraging students to become caring stewards. We invite you to use this site to get familiar with the funding programs, learn more about previously supported projects and recipients, view solicitations and apply for funding.
