First Confirmed Patapsco Blue Catfish
Location: Patapsco River
Caught this Blue Catfish in Ferry Bar Park in the Patapsco River. It was approximatly 28 inches. We kept the fish and ate it!!! Fish and Game were out checking their baby fish that were released the last couple of years and got off the boat and checked and verified that it was a Blue Catfish.
DNR Response: Thank you for reporting your catch, it's one of the first confirmed Blue Catfish caught in the Patapsco River. As a reminder, DNR is asking the public to remove (kill) any Blue Catfish they may catch in Maryland waters, this fish is an invasive species.
