Meeting Agenda

NOTE: The meeting will be in the Upper School Library, in the Science & Library Center , building #20. Click here for Map of Key School. Please check directions and note that the school is near Quiet Waters Park, south of downtown Annapolis. It is suggested that you allow extra driving time, as the main access route, Forest Drive, can be congested.

We are excited to welcome guest speaker George Chmael from SustainaFest, an Annapolis-based nonprofit that uses art and film to spark dialogue and action, and is hosting a Student Sustainability Lab. This summer the Lab is working with students to build a "mobile hi-tech, hyper-efficient and sustainable 'Tiny House,' a 210 square foot, off-grid construction marvel" that will later serve as a traveling model. George will explain the sustainability program and other efforts relevant to educators and Children In Nature, and we will step outside to visit the Tiny House and the student builders during their construction process. In addition, Key School's Brian Michaels will provide a brief overview of the school's progressive outdoor education program.
